BIO 
Angie Jones is a Los Angeles artist, animation director, and visual storyteller whose work bridges painting, sculpture, digital media, and pop culture. Working under the name Stix and Jones, she creates bold low-poly portraits, skulls, and fragmented figures that move between traditional art-making and digital aesthetics.
After decades in animation and visual effects, Jones brings a filmmaker’s eye for character, color, and graphic shape into her fine art practice. Her work combines hand-made process with digital influence, creating pieces that feel both physical and screen-born.
Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums including Huntington Beach Art Center, Laguna Art Museum, Rockford Art Museum, and Corey Helford Gallery, among others.
STATEMENT
Angie Jones explores the relationship between technology, memory, media, and identity through painting, sculpture, video, and digital process. Her work uses faceted forms, neon color, and fragmented figures to examine how images are constructed, broken apart, and rebuilt across physical and digital spaces.
Influenced by low-polygon video game aesthetics, classical portraiture, pop culture, and animation, Angie’s work moves between the handmade and the screen-based. Paintings, prints, sculptures, and augmented-reality pieces become a way to question how contemporary images shape our perception of history, personality, and reality.
By combining traditional studio practice with digital visual language, Stix and Jones creates work that sits between past and future, object and image, fine art and media culture.
